Alice Tu - Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Alice uses a gentle, compassionate, and trauma focussed approach as she works with the strengths and unique needs of each individual who becomes a client. The people who work with Alice know that she passionate about helping them to overcome their fears and insecurities in order to enhance their confidence, self-esteem, and self-compassion.

 

As a graduate of two professional programs, Alice has a special interest in working with students enrolled in higher education. In the past she was a College Accessibility Counsellor and her legal and social work experiences help her to understand the unique challenges that these students face. 

Through work providing psychotherapy at rehabilitation clinics and through employee assistance programs, Alice has 15 years of experience in providing services to those struggling with depression, anxiety, stress management and trauma. To help you develop your confidence and find your self compassion Alice will use approaches based in cognitive behavioural therapy, solutions focused therapy, and mindfulness. Alice is also trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. 

 

Alice completed her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto. She is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
